ReceptionistsPeople interested in greeting Jesus as he enters Mother Teresa Welcome Center doors. Courteous individuals dedicated to talking to people on the phone or in person needing assistance or making donations. † Tasks: § Greet people who come to Mother Teresa Welcome Center. § Answer phone and refer to appropriate services. § Pleasant phone voice. § Able to multi-task.
St. Martin DePorresFood Bank/Bread for Others Sort food that comes in from individual people, stores and food drives. Pick up large truck loads of food with our food bank truck or bread and other food from local stores and restaurants. † Tasks: § Stock shelves with food and supplies. § Sort food and prepare food bank for Friday distribution day. § Record all donations that come into St. Martin DePorres Food Bank. § Pick up donations from local grocery stores and restaurants.
St. Joseph the worker teamJanitorial Cleaning the Mother Teresa Welcome Center and St. Francis Community Free Clinic. † Tasks: § Clean bathrooms § Vacuuming, washing windows and general cleaning. Maintenance: Do maintenance on all buildings and grounds. † Tasks: § Do repairs in all buildings. § Repair any equipment, plumbing or furnaces in all buildings from a list provided by Building and Grounds Coordinator. § Do regularly scheduled maintenance listed by Building and Grounds Coordinator.
Medical ProfessionalsReceptionists: Greet Jesus as he enters our clinic doors. Individuals dedicated to being courteous to patients who are asking for medical attention. † Tasks: § Greet people who come into clinic to seek medical care. § Filing patient records and answer phone. Nursing staff: RN’s, LPN’s and CNA’s who want to serve Jesus as he asks for his wounds 2B healed. Courteous nurses to serve patients that are asking for help with medical needs. † Tasks: § Assess patient needs and prepare them to see nurse practitioner, physician assistant or doctor. § Help patient understand any instructions for treatment, lab, prescription or referral to a specialist in St. Francis Community Free Clinic or other facility. Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Doctors:Any medical doctor, dentist or chiropractor wishing to serve Jesus as he asks for his wounds healed. Wanting to serve medical needs of those patients coming to receive healthcare but have no insurance or financial ability to pay for medical care. † Tasks: § Listen to patients and diagnose and/or treat any needs they have. § Explain to patient any treatment, lab, prescription or referral to a specialist in St. Francis Clinic or other facility. § Provide patient with medication if they are in stock. § Licensed to practice medicine in Wisconsin.
Mentoring
HOLY FAMILY VILLA and BETHLEHEM INN: Serve Jesus as a mentor. Do meal preparation. Spend precious time with men or women and children teaching, giving motherly/fatherly advise, listening and driving them to appointments. Being courteous and care to others in a loving way. Tasks: § Prepare meals for men, women and children living in the shelter and others living in the community coming here for a meal. § Help men and women fill out applications for jobs or disability benefits and apartments. § Help men and women prepare for and give rides to interviews, alcoholic’s anonymous meetings and other needs. § Be good friend, role model and listener.
